Welcome to the Department of Geology and Planetary Science!
This site describes recent work using or related to
reflection seismic research at the Department of Geology and Planetary
Science at the University of Pittsburgh. This research is partially
based upon the recent generous donation of
equipment from WesternGeco L.L.C. to the Department of Geology and Planetary
Science at the University of Pittsburgh. The extraordinary kindness of
our department's alumni, specifically Mr. John Seitz and Mr. Ron Bain,
made this donation possible. The help, patience and support of
